How do I pay the deposit for my Afternoon Tea booking?
Go to our online store https://dr-foxs-tearoom.sumup.link/afternoon-tea-deposit to pay £5 per guest. This will secure your booking. No deposit is required if you are redeeming a Gift Voucher - just put your Voucher code on the booking form. Please note: We only accept Gift Vouchers issued by Dr Fox's Tearoom. These can be purchased in person at the Tearoom or via our website www.drfoxstearoom.co.uk We cannot accept responsibility for bookings made with gift vouchers from any other issuer.
Why do you need 48 hours’ notice to book Afternoon Tea?
All our Afternoon Teas are handmade to order. We are a small team and to ensure we have the best and freshest ingredients for your visit we need a bit of time to prepare and order in. This also helps us to avoid unnecessary waste.
What sandwich fillings do you offer? Can I change them?
Our standard fillings for Afternoon Tea for Two are: Egg & Rocket, Mature Cheddar & Red Onion Chutney, Smoked Salmon & Cream Cheese and of course Cucumber! We also offer Beef and Ham for larger bookings but we're happy to make whatever makes you happy, just put it in the request box!
How do I let you know if I need a menu change?
You can let us know any dietary information or specific sandwich filling requests on the booking form. Just put the information in the "request/occasion" box. If you miss this when you make your initial booking, you can go back and make changes using the "modify/cancel" link from your tableagent booking confirmation email. If all else fails, you can email us directly at drfoxstearoom@hotmail.com and we'll get back to you asap.
What’s included in a child’s Afternoon Tea?
Our children’s Afternoon Tea is available for those 12 years old and under. It includes everything in our standard Afternoon Tea except sandwiches as we find out younger guests are happy to pinch one or two finger sandwiches from the adults! If you are bringing more than one child you may wish to add an extra trio of finger sandwiches for an additional cost of £4.25. You can choose any filling but it will be the same for all 3 finger sandwiches. Let us know when booking please!
Is there parking nearby?
Pay & Display parking is available on Knightstone Causeway and there are other car parks within a short walking distance from Dr Fox's Tearoom. Are you Wheelchair accessible?
Yes! There's a slight incline onto the Tearoom terrace and then level access via the right- hand doors. Our toilet facilities are also wheelchair accessible and suitable for less mobile guests.
Are you dog friendly?
Well behaved dogs are always welcome at Dr Fox’s Tearoom. We ask that dogs are kept on a lead and are quiet!
Do you accept Gift Vouchers?
We only accept Afternoon Tea Gift Vouchers issued by ourselves. These can be purchased in person at Dr Fox's Tearoom during our usual opening hours or online via our website www.drfoxstearoom.co.uk. Just click on the "Gift Vouchers" link and you'll be taken to our online store powered by SumUp. Please be aware that Gift Vouchers can take up to 24 hours to process if purchased online and come in pdf format for you to print at home or forward to your chosen recipient.
